Snow-capped mountains, hanging glaciers and dancing northern lights make Alyeska Resort a winter wonderland where adventures abound. Day Helicopter skiing adventures within the Chugach Mountains are available. Ski runs are open from 10:30 am until 9:00 pm

The Alyeska Resort Hotel

Is among Alaska's best. The beauty of the building alone separates it from the competition, as does its location in an unspoiled mountain valley among huge spruce trees. Studded with dormers and turrets, it impresses on first sight. Inside, sumptuous cherry wood and rich colors unite the welcoming common rooms and elegant guest rooms. The location and activities alone make the hotel worth visiting. A few days spent here skiing and swimming make the rest of life seem too drab.
