FS#1 Fairbanks Aurora Lodge Viewing Tour 

The long and dark nights in the interior of Alaska provide amazing opportunities for Aurora (Northern Lights) viewing. For our Aurora Lodge viewing tour, we select one of the best Aurora Viewing Lodges in the area, to give you not only the best chance possible to view the Northern Lights, but also provide you with the comfort of a warm and safe area, complete with restrooms. This is bringing the Aurora viewing to a whole new level. You will not only have a warm spot to wait for the Aurora to show up, but also have a great local tour guide with you. He or she will be able to answer all of your questions and provide you with additional information. After a convenient pick-up from your hotel, we will leave the city lights behind us in our spacious vans ensuring each guest’s comfort.

FS#2 Aurora Viewing & Dinner Tour

This offers the perfect Aurora Borealis viewing opportunity as well as the chance to be personal dinner guests at an off the grid, Alaska cabin. The hot meal (included) is featuring Alaskan fare and will be served while we wait for the Northern Lights to put on their show. Once the Northern Lights are out, you can view them right from inside the cabin through our large north facing windows. Arctic winter clothing is available to you should you want to go outside for photographs and a full view of the sky while the lights are dancing. Various entertainment is in place for your enjoyment while waiting for the Aurora to dance. Explore life on the edge, living off the grid and very close to nature. Our home is simple and rustic but very comfortable.

FS#3 Aurora Viewing Tour to Chena Hot Springs

View the amazing Northern Lights and soak in the Hot Springs! Our local guide will answer your questions about the Aurora as we travel only 60 miles to Chena, discovered and used by natives and early miners. Guided tour of the Aurora Ice Museum included. It features a gallery that includes sculptures, chandeliers, and a bar hand carved of ice. The natural outdoor setting of the rock lake is perfect for a relaxing soak in the hot springs while waiting for the Northern Lights to appear. After midnight we meet in the heated activity center. Your guide will engage you in conversation about the Aurora Borealis and once the Northern lights are out, show you the best viewing spots. Food and drinks are available for purchase at the resort restaurant.

FS#4 Aurora Viewing Tour to  Arctic Circle

View the amazing Northern Lights en-route to the Arctic Circle! Your guide will engage in informative conversation about the Northern Lights as you travel north on the famous Dalton Highway. Departure in daylight allows for the opportunity to enjoy the stunning winter landscape and wildlife of interior Alaska. Moose, lynx and fox are often sighted as we move through their natural habitat. Informative stops at the Trans Alaska Pipeline and the mighty Yukon River Bridge offer perfect opportunities for photographs and stretching out for a bit. When we cross the Arctic Circle your guide will award you a personalized Arctic Circle Certificate. After photographs at the Arctic Circle sign, we begin the return journey and Aurora search.

FS#5 Fairbanks Winter City Sightseeing Tour

Explore Fairbanks and the surrounding area on this afternoon tour. Your city tour starts right from your hotel and combines fun with Fairbanks history, Alaskan craftsmanship and Alaska winter activities. Your first stop is the Santa Claus House in North Pole. The tour continues on to the Trans Alaska Pipeline viewpoint. It is the perfect spot to explain the astonishing engineering of the pipeline and the oil fields in Prudhoe Bay. Afterwards you'll visit the Morris Thompson Cultural Center offering knowledgeable cultural programs and an interpretive exhibit gallery featuring the land, seasons and people of Interior Alaska and the Arctic. If you are looking for an authentic gift, then the Great Alaskan Bowl Company is the perfect place for you. Last stop either at the Museum of the North or the Antique Auto Museum (depends on the weekday).  Duration 5.5 hours

FS#6 Dog Mushing - Sled Dog Tour 1/2 hr or 1 hr

Dog Sledding is Alaska's official sport - have you ever seen a state with a more original sport?  It is the only means of transportation through the snow lands of old time Alaska. Dog Mushing / Sledding is an activity nobody should miss on an Alaska winter vacation. All our Dog Mushing / Sledding Tours are designed into a spacious time frame. We do not hurry you in  and out of the sled or run circles on a field but give you a real Dog Mushing experience on trails used by Alaskan mushers. There is plenty of time to make your favorite Dog Mushing pictures and play with our Alaska huskies. Arctic gear (parka, pants, boots, mittens) is provided for all our Dog Mushing / Sledding adventures. Break away, and mush with us into the twilight of the Alaskan wilderness

FS#7 Dog Mushing School - 3 hrs 

The 3 hour tour starts with instruction covering basic dog care, equipment use (sled, gang lines, etc.) harnessing and hooking up the dog team, followed by one-on-one instruction with a guide/musher driving the sled. When you are ready and the guide feels you are capable, the guide will switch places with you and you will take a turn on the runners. Then it's back to the cabin for a short break and setting up the sleds for smaller teams. Next is an approx. 8 mile run driving your own dog team and sled! Finally the tour ends with instruction on un-harnessing, equipment checks and dog care after the run (checking sled and lines, checking dog feet and water and feeding, etc.).

FS#8 Snowmobile Tour

Guided Snow Machine Tour around the Chena Lakes Recreational area only accessed by snowmachine. On this snowmobile tour, your guide will lead you through a true winter wonderland you haven't seen before. Explore Fairbanks’ breathtaking surroundings by snowmobile through a beautiful winter wonderland, crossing frozen lakes and rivers, scenic mountains, endless remote trails and hopefully wildlife such as moose, fox or snowshoe hare. The Chena Lakes Recreation area offers a variety of beautiful and well-maintained trails, lakes and rivers ensuring an adventure of a lifetime. No experience necessary.

FS#9 Ice Fishing

Your ice fishing trip begins with the pick up from your hotel. While catching fish in a warm hut on a beautiful lake you can still safely enjoy the brisk, clear air and peaceful environment of Interior Alaska, the home to some of the best ice fishing this state has to offer. Learn the old native skill of ice fishing from our experienced ice fishing guides. Hot drinks and snacks are served while fishing. Warm arctic gear is available and our heated van is always close by. Please provide each participant’s height, weight, and shoe size for the arctic gear.

FS#10 Denali Day Adventure Drive 

Meet your guide this morning and depart south from Fairbanks along the Parks Highway. Visit the rural community of Nenana situated on the south bank of the Tanana River. The strong threads of Tanana Athabascan culture and subsistence lifestyle running through the community lend Nenana the special feel of a "bush" village located on the road system. Arrive at Denali National Park. The Murie Science and Learning Center provides the perfect base camp for exploring the park. Experience Denali's six million acres of wilderness as few ever have the chance to see it. Enjoy the quiet beauty and solitude of a winter landscape blanketed in snow. Learn how plants, animals, and humans adopt creative strategies to survive the extreme winter cold of Alaska's Interior. Enjoy a short nature walk or snowshoe to see up close the beauty of the park on a short nature trail. This is a soft tour experience not an adventurous hike.

FS#10 Chena: Aurora Viewing Snow Coach Tour 

The Aurora Viewing Tour is an opportunity to experience one of the best spots in Alaska to see the Aurora Borealis. Two miles up our mountains, at a location called Charlie Dome, are two Mongolian style yurts. You will ride in a military-style SUSV for thirty minutes until we get to the top of Charlie Dome, where we will make base. Up there you will have a 360° unobstructed view of the Northern Lights if they come out. The further away you are from city lights the better, and the best way is with dim propane lights and a hot chocolate to wait for the Aurora Borealis show. We will stay up there a total of four hours.

FS#11 Chena: Dog Sled Tour   

Dog sleds are a part of Alaskan history and there is no other sport more unique to Alaska than dog mushing! This is an enthralling opportunity to speed through our Nature trail and be pulled by some of Alaska's strongest creatures. Our friendly, experienced guides take you gliding along our serene 1.5 mile trail, in one of our locally hand built traditional freight sleds which holds up to four guests.   After the ride, you’ll have a chance to take a photo with these amazing dogs or warm up in our visitor’s center.

FS#12 Chena: Kennel Tour  

Your guide will teach you about the sport, sharing knowledge and answering any questions you may have. You will be introduced to some amazing Alaskan Huskies, learn about this fascinating breed, and tour a working mushing kennel of over 50 dogs. The educational visitor center is a great place to warm up in the cool winter months, or to get a break from the sun during the sunny summer months. You will walk away from this tour with an abundance of dog mushing knowledge. If we have puppies at the yard you get to spend some time with them! Duration: 40 minutes

FS#13 Chena: Snowmobile Tour 

You don’t have to be an experienced snowmobiler to book this ride. This popular tour is perfect for adventurous people looking for a thrill during their Alaskan adventure. Riders will enjoy scenic views of our resort through our well kept Monument Creek trail. The tour is restricted to single drivers, no passengers are allowed. This experience will make you fall in love with Alaska. Helmets are mandatory and provided. Complimentary parkas, snow pants and our unique bunny boots are available if needed. at the yard you get to spend some time with them! 3 - 6 mile tour around our Monument Creek trail

FS#14 Chena: Aurora Ice Museum Tour

Chena Hot Springs Resort is home to the world’s largest year-round ice environment, the Aurora Ice Museum! It was created from over 1,000 tons of ice and snow, all harvested at the resort. The museum was completed in January 2005 and stays a cool 25° Fahrenheit (-7° Celsius) inside. Keeping the museum icy cold in the heat of summer comes from the patented absorption chiller, the first of its kind in the world used for this purpose! Your guide will take you to the Aurora Ice Museum building where you can pick up a parka free of charge. Your guide will go over some of the iconic ice sculptures and interesting facts about the museum before allowing you to free roam and take pictures! You can join us at our ice bar and enjoy your pre-purchased Appletini delicately served in our famous ice glass.
